THE LAGOS SETTLEMENT WEEK AWARENESS WALK

The ADR society collaborated with the Lagos Multi-door Courthouse to raise awareness for the Lagos Settlement Week, which runs from the 3rd -7th December 2018. On the 3rd of December, some members of the ADR society took to the streets of Ikeja, Ikoyi and Igbosere, enlightening people about the importance of Alternative Dispute Resolution and encouraging them to take advantage of the Lagos Settlement Week to settle their disputes free of charge. It was an eye-opening experience as there were both welcoming and not so welcoming responses from people. While some people were willing to learn and be enlightened, some others were not interested and did not give a listening ear. However, we stuck together and ensured we told everybody who cared to listen about the Lagos Settlement Week. It also gave members of the society an opportunity to spend time together and relax. The Lagos Multi-door Courthouse also provided t-shirts and refreshments for members of the ADR society that took part in the walk.

Everybody who was in attendance agreed that the experience was worth their while.
